Waste and Recycling Vans: Tippers, Cages and Dropsides
Tipper trucks, cage tippers, dropsides and skip lorries for waste contractors, recycling operators and site clearance firms, from 3.5 tonne Cat B vans up to 7.5 tonne C1 platforms.

A waste van is a commercial vehicle built to carry, tip and clear heavy loads: aggregate, soil, rubble, green waste, scrap and general site clearance. Body choice drives everything else. A flat tipper on a 3.5 tonne chassis suits small clearance firms and builders running their own muck-away. Add cage sides (single, double or full-height) and the same platform handles bulky light waste without losing payload. Step up to a 7.5 tonne chassis cab under a C1 licence and you can spec a cage tipper, curtainsider or dropside with enough payload for a full day of commercial collections. Skip lorries and chain-lift trucks sit on the same chassis range for operators handling 4-yard, 6-yard and 8-yard skips.
We supply, spec and deliver waste vans from our Porthcawl base. Typical buyers are SME skip operators, scrap dealers, recycling contractors, site clearance firms and small building companies that want one vehicle for rubble and tools. If your work includes site plant alongside waste movement, the plant sales range covers beavertails and transporters. For heavier tonnage with curtainsider and box bodies, look at haulage vans and lorries. Monthly payments on tipper and cage builds are typically structured through contract hire, with fixed costs and a clean handback at the end.

Single, double and full-height cage sides to carry bulky light waste like packaging, green waste and insulation. Drop-down tailgates keep loading fast for two-person crews.
3.5t Cat B or 7.5t C1
Pick a 3.5 tonne platform anyone with a standard car licence can drive, or step up to 7.5 tonne under a C1 licence for double the payload on commercial rounds and site clearance contracts.
Tail-Lift Options
Column tail-lifts for bin and wheeled-container work, or tuck-away tail-lifts that sit flush under the body when not in use. Capacities matched to your typical load.
Dual-Purpose Waste and Tools
Combined tipper-and-toolbox builds for small builders who want one vehicle for muck-away and a secure store for power tools, sparing a second van on the fleet.

FAQs
Frequently asked questions
We supply single-cab tippers, double-cab tippers, cage tippers and dropside tippers on chassis from 3.5 tonne through to 7.5 tonne. Single-cab gives you maximum body length for aggregate and rubble. Double-cab suits a crew of four or five on site clearance and landscaping work. Cage variants add single, double or full-height sides for bulky light waste. Bodies can be steel, aluminium or composite, and we spec the tipping gear to match typical load weight.
Yes. Cage sides can be fitted before delivery on any new tipper body, with single-height at around 600mm for aggregate and rubble containment, double-height at 1,200mm for general waste, and full-height up to 1,800mm for bulky light material like packaging and green waste. Retrofit cages to an existing tipper are also possible through our conversion partners, though factoring the cage into a new build keeps the weight certified and covered under the body warranty.
Yes. 7.5 tonne chassis cab tippers, cage tippers, dropsides, curtainsiders and skip lorries are a core part of what we supply. A 7.5 tonne platform gives roughly double the payload of a 3.5 tonne van, which matters when waste is dense. The driver needs a C1 licence (granted automatically to anyone who passed a car test before 1 January 1997, or taken as an add-on test for newer licences). We can advise on driver licensing before the vehicle is ordered.
Contract hire, finance lease and hire purchase all work for waste vehicles, and the right fit depends on your tax position and how hard the vehicle gets worked. Contract hire keeps monthly costs fixed and the vehicle off your balance sheet, which suits operators replacing tippers on a four or five year cycle. Hire purchase makes sense when you want ownership at the end and you plan to keep the vehicle well past the finance term. We are an FCA-authorised broker and we shop finance across a panel of lenders.
Yes. Full livery, reflective kerb-side panels, company decals and Chapter 8 style chevrons can all be fitted before hand-over so the vehicle arrives in your brand colours and ready to work. We coordinate with established sign-writing partners, and we can match an existing fleet livery on a replacement vehicle so the whole fleet stays consistent. Artwork files from your designer are welcome, or we can work from a reference photo.
Tail-lifts are an option on dropside, curtainsider and box builds, sized to match the typical load. Column tail-lifts are the usual choice for wheeled bin work and palletised waste, with capacities from 500kg up to 1,500kg. Tuck-away tail-lifts fold flush under the body for a cleaner look and unrestricted rear access. On a straight tipper the tipping action itself handles offloading, so a tail-lift is not usually needed. We walk through the right fit with you during the spec.
