Jetting Vans: Purpose-Built for Drain Clearance

High-pressure water vehicles for drain jetting contractors, sewer maintenance crews and water utility subcontractors, from van-pack builds up to full jet-vac recyclers.

A jetting van is a commercial vehicle built around a water tank, a high-pressure pump and a hose reel for clearing drains, sewers and surface-water systems. The kit sits on one of three platforms: a van-pack inside a 3.5 tonne panel van for mobile maintenance work, a light tanker on a 7.5 tonne chassis cab for mid-bore clearance, or a full jet-vac recycler on an 18 tonne or 26 tonne rigid for sewer and mains work. Tank capacity runs from 300 litres on a van-pack up to 4,000 litres or more on a chassis build. Pump pressure typically sits between 2,000 and 4,000 PSI, with flow rates matched to the nozzle and pipe diameter you work on.

We supply, spec and deliver jetting vans from our Porthcawl base, including engine-driven van-pack units and PTO-driven chassis cab builds. Choose outright purchase, hire purchase, finance lease or contract hire. If your work is lighter and camera-led, look at the drainage vans range for CCTV and survey fit-outs. For tipper and cage bodies on tanker-style chassis, the waste vans page is the right place to start. Finance routes for tanker builds are covered in our business van finance guide.

Why businesses choose us

Built around your operation

Tank Capacity Options

Water tanks from 300 litres on a van-pack to 4,000 litres plus on chassis builds, sized to match your typical job and the plated weight of the vehicle.

Pump Pressure Ratings

Pump specs from 2,000 PSI for maintenance work up to 4,000 PSI for heavy blockages, with flow rates matched to nozzle choice and pipe diameter.

Water Recycling Options

Recycler jet-vac builds reclaim and filter water from the vacuum tank back into the water tank, so crews stay productive without hunting for a hydrant.

Chassis Options 3.5t to 26t

Van-pack on a 3.5 tonne panel van, light tanker on a 7.5 tonne chassis cab, or a full rigid jet-vac on 18 to 26 tonne. We match the chassis to the workload.

PTO Integration

Chassis cab builds can run a PTO-driven pump off the gearbox, which gives higher flow and pressure than an auxiliary engine unit and cuts running costs.

Fleet Servicing Support

Scheduled servicing on pump, tank and hose reel, plus chassis maintenance through manufacturer networks, coordinated so the vehicle is off the road for as short as possible.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Tank capacity runs from 300 litres on a van-pack build up to 4,000 litres or more on a chassis tanker. A typical panel van jetter carries 300 to 500 litres, a 7.5 tonne chassis cab build runs 1,500 to 2,500 litres, and a full jet-vac recycler on an 18 to 26 tonne rigid carries 2,500 to 4,000 litres plus a separate vacuum tank. We size the tank to your usual job mix and the plated weight of the vehicle.

A van-pack is a jetter unit mounted in a panel van, typically 300 to 500 litres of water with a 2,000 to 3,000 PSI pump. A jet-vac is a dedicated recycler truck with a vacuum tank and a water tank, built on a heavier chassis. Van-packs suit maintenance and small-bore clearance work, while jet-vacs suit sewer work and large-diameter mains where you need to recycle water to stay productive.

Both routes are available. You can buy outright, take hire purchase to own the vehicle at the end, sign a finance lease with VAT benefits, or run contract hire with fixed monthly payments. We are an FCA-authorised broker, so we shop finance across a panel of lenders. For heavier chassis builds, finance lease and hire purchase are the usual choices because the conversion value stays on your balance sheet.

Yes. The jetter unit, tank, hose reel and pipework are fitted before hand-over so the vehicle arrives ready to work. For van-pack builds we use established conversion partners. For chassis cab and rigid builds we coordinate with specialist bodybuilders, typically with a PTO-driven pump spec agreed up front. Warranty on the conversion work sits with the fitter and that paperwork reaches you with the keys.

Chassis choice follows the work. Maintenance and small-bore clearance fit comfortably on a 3.5 tonne panel van as a van-pack. Mid-bore drainage and light sewer work sit on a 7.5 tonne chassis cab. Full sewer jetting, mains work and recycler builds need an 18 to 26 tonne rigid. We run through the typical job list with you and match the chassis to payload, flow rate and driver licence category.

Yes. We supply water utility subcontractors working for DWR Cymru, Severn Trent, Thames Water and regional counterparts, as well as private drainage firms on framework contracts. We can match an existing fleet spec on replacement vehicles, fit livery before delivery, and coordinate RISQS or utility-specific compliance kit where the contract calls for it.
